Transcendentalism
"Transcendent Man" was one of the most interesting documentaries I have ever seen, afterwards a huge internal dialogue was started with myself. One thing that Ray Kurzweil didn't seem to consider was the importance of the physical body. He brushes it off as disposable and unimportant, I completely disagree with him. I believe that life wouldn't be so valuable if it didn't end, I also believe that there is huge importance in movement. As a dancer and person that regularly practices yoga I would say that for me movement is the closest thing to religion that I have. For it to stay honest and pure it has to stay completely human. Ray Kurzweil must have never experienced the true joy of sport or sensation, he is living so much in the past and in the future that he doesn't understand the beauty of living in the present.
